小编: 155The computer are widely used in education, and some people think teacher are not play important role in the classroom .To what extend do you agree?
Today, many public debates have been going on about whether teachers can be replaced with the proliferation of computers in education nowadays. Some people contend that computers have played a pivotal role in study while teachers are losing their importance. I will analyze their thought in details in the following text.
It is true that the widespread use of computers promotes the study to some extent.
The first argument can be made in favor of this is that students can benefit from the amazing development of internet. It is obvious that the internet holds more information than a teacher. Also, studying with computers is more relaxing while the fluctuation of teachers’ mood might impose undue influence on students. As a result, the learning effects with computers will be better than with teachers.
On the other hand, many individuals may find it apparent that the statues of teachers cannot be supplanted by the computers. To start with, youths, without teachers’ correct guidance, are likely to fall prey to the huge unhealthy information on internet, such as the violent and pornographic content. In addition, only using computer on learning may lead to many youngsters’ overly dependence on it. Therefore, we need teachers to tell students how to think independently before studying by computers. Above all, schooling fosters well-rounded students, far more than just feeding knowledge to them. However, I would be hard-pressed to imagine that how a computer instills high moral values into students and cultivates their sense of obligation.
For my part, I would agree that even though students can benefit from computers, the teachers play an essential role in the classrooms. Thus, I am convinced that the teachers are in the best interests of students meanwhile the computers are a supplementary instrument in the learning process.
